About the role
The Claims Handler role, based out of our London City, Monument office is responsible for maximising the benefits of our supplier relationships with particular focus on reducing our claims spend, whilst increasing credit services and TP intervention opportunities, along with recovering outstanding/open claims.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Supply Partners deliver services in line with all agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Ensure all Credit Hire opportunities are converted to meet or exceed budgets.
- Claim Resolution and liability decision making- working with supply partners to agree appropriate settlement of claims.
- Actively reduce claims for motor accidents by undertaking thorough investigations.
- Escalation POC for all members involved in accidents/incidents.
- Recover any claims efficiently in-house to minimise any loss.
- Liaise with external suppliers to make sure reserves are placed correctly and obtain updates on high reserves.
- Conduct driver safety training and provide feedback on driver scores and tips to improve.
- Operate the company telematics system and maximise its potential to claim spend reduction.
- Ensure information in the Fleet Management System is accurate and up to date.
- Provide recommendations on improvement.
- Produce/present weekly reporting on claims and costs for senior management team.
What You'll Bring
- Must have 2+ years claims handling experience within the insurance sector
- Experience working in a the automotive insurance background highly desirable
- Experience with MS Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Excellent numerical, written and communications skills
- Ability to quickly and effectively solve customer problems
- Present a cheerful, positive manner with customers
- Develop more efficient ways to complete tasks
- Work cooperatively with others to produce innovative solutions
- Strong Administration skills
- Full Clean UK drivers’ licence
