Description: Coupang Fulfillment Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Supply Planning to join our Central Planning team. This pivotal role will oversee the strategic planning and operational execution of supply chain management, capacity planning, and manpower planning & allocation. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in e-commerce Supply Chain, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to drive efficiency and scalability within our fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Forecast capacity, asset and manpower plans to meet business needs and growth targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align productivity targets, peak capacity available, cost and service risk assessment etc.
- Develop models to predict future capacity requirements and mitigate bottlenecks.
- Implement technology and tools to enhance capacity planning accuracy and responsiveness.
- Create and execute workforce plans to support operational demands and seasonal fluctuations.
- Monitor and optimize workforce utilization and efficiency.
- Providing appropriate visibility into daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly capacity and manpower plans for fulfillment center operations, setting goals, executing plans, and building strategies.
- Using data insights to accurately predict capacity, tracking changes between actual and planned outcomes, and providing appropriate daily solutions based on circumstances.
- Identifying risks and providing solutions to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicating quickly with key stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Defining, tracking, and managing how workforce capacity is planned and utilized within the network among leaders.
- Identifying improvement areas to adjust or optimize capacity through process improvements and/or strategic initiatives.
- Utilize data analytics to drive supply chain, capacity, and manpower planning decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze data trends and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Implement data-driven methodologies to enhance capacity planning accuracy, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across all reporting systems.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, capacity planning, and workforce planning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the e-commerce or related industry.
- Extensive experience and Provent track record in supply chain, Planning, operations, transportation, and fulfillment related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data analysis, planning and forecasting so as to enable the ability to draw conclusions from data and build basic models to support business decision-making.
- Proficiency with advanced Excel, statistical modeling, and supply chain optimization modeling.
- Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI) and techniques would be an added advantage.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal teams and external partners. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a customer-centric mindset.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
