This position will be hybrid in Toronto, Canada.
What You’ll Do:
- Work closely with business stakeholders in gathering requirements and build solutions to derive insights from data
- Utilize expertise in data warehousing concepts to work with large volumes of data to perform analysis and provide recommendations to enable data-driven decision-making
- Build and optimize data pipelines on Azure Databricks, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Delta Lake on Databricks
- Manage and maintain data in the Lakehouse medallion architecture
- Build BI dashboards using tools like PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
- Utilize advanced SQL Knowledge to work with relational and NoSQL databases, and familiarity with various database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Cosmos)
- Design and implement robust data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and deploy compliant software solutions in a compliance-based environment
- Exhibit proficiency in Spark, Python, DBT, and SQL to effectively manage and manipulate data
What You Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience as a BI Developer or similar role
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience working with large volumes of data and implementation of data warehousing projects
- Proficiency in Spark, Python, and DBT
- Experience in BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
- Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with business stakeholders in converting requirements to solutions
- Familiarity with compliance-based environments and experience in building compliant software solutions.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience Azure Databricks, Delta Lake
- Strong understanding of Data Engineering concepts
- Working knowledge of Fivetran is a bonus
