Staff Engineer - Atlan Marketplace (offline agent)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/ Staff Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience of building ingestion connectors/ adapters for data platforms. With our product roadmap expanding, this role will own and drive further innovation for multiple new & existing connectors on the Atlan Marketplace.

What will you do? 🤔

• Understand and build source-specific packages focused on crawling, mining, and migrating metadata from multiple data sources.
• Ensure the robustness and efficiency of solutions in large-scale environments.
• Build connectors for enterprise customers with a focus on security and deployments.
• Work closely with our field teams to unblock customers and partners during onboarding as a technical subject matter expert.
• Mentor and groom junior engineers working on these packages.
• Deploy and maintain the packages on the Atlan Metadata Marketplace.
• Drive innovation and enhance developer productivity for users and developers of Atlan.
• Own the system design for edge solution to integrate with metadata in enterprise, on prem secure systems
• Make it simple, practical and efficient to extend online capabilities for the edge solution for internal developers.

• Backend development experience as an individual contributor with high ownership.
• Proven experience in building and deploying data pipelines.
• Experience leading customer and partner calls as a technical SME, with the ability to provide support for the packages you own.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Argo workflows, or any similar orchestrator alongside any programming/scripting languages like Python/Golang/Kotlin
• Experience with building data products, preferably SaaS.
• Experience working with and building software for enterprise customers
