Title: Senior Account Executive

Pay: $100,000 to $115,000 base salary ($200K OTE with commission) + stock options

Location: Remote / Hybrid / Office (Birmingham, AL or Washington, DC)

HData is seeking to immediately hire an Senior Account Executive to drive continued rapid growth and adoption of the HData Platform, including Regulatory AI, across the energy industry. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining new relationships with key leaders across the industry in order to drive revenue for HData.

HData is a Techstars backed startup company delivering automated compliance, instant business intelligence, and AI for regulatory energy analysis across the U.S. regulated energy industry.

The HData Platform is the only SaaS solution that allows energy companies and their regulators to quickly and easily prepare their government filings while also instantly generating comparative analytics across hundreds of indicators and millions of data points. The platform turns research that used to take hours into seconds. Our demand is driven by a government mandate from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) which requires all energy companies to begin reporting electronically by December 2021.

HData is headquartered in Birmingham, AL but we are open to working with the right people fully-remote - no matter where they’re located in the U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES YOU’LL HAVE

  • Establish and execute a strategy for selling to key target accounts across key verticals including the development of account plans and close plans
  • Understand the core components of the platform and be demo-ready 45 days from your start
  • Manage complex sales cycles by thinking creatively about prospect nurture, compelling events, and messaging to drive action
  • Prospect new business by conducting research to identify key decision makers and influencers within target accounts
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and the CRO on pipeline management and growth
  • Work with the Director of Customer Success to identify opportunities for upsell and lead the sales process
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing on key outbound campaigns across your territory
  • Deliver feedback back to the Product Team based on insights gained from the field
  • Work with Sales Development Representatives to generate initial customer interest to secure an introductory meeting
  • Perform activities such as cold calling, email campaigns, and networking
  • Research & assist in tasks such as building the sales funnel and brainstorming new sales channels
  • Provide demonstrations of HData’s products and services
  • Drive sales through our partner channel and uncover innovative opportunities to address gaps in the market

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE

  • 7 or more years of experience as an Account Executive or similar background
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, communication, marketing or related field
  • 7 or more years of experience with CRM (Hubspot) or a similar CRM
  • Ability to travel as needed up to 30% of your time

PREFERENCE TO THOSE WHO

  • Have a strong track record exceeding quota
  • Have experience within the energy or public sectors
  • Experience selling enterprise SaaS platforms
  • Experience working in a startup environment
