Sr. PR Manager

As Moonfare grows, our media profile has grown along with it. This valuable coverage allows us to connect with potential clients, tell the story of our company and shape the conversation in our industry. As Sr. PR Manager, you will manage our media profile and help capitalise on this potential. To achieve this goal you will need to forge solid relationships with journalists or use your existing ones to cover Moonfare across multiple geographies and media verticals. You will work with all types of publishers, from bloggers and trade journalists to reporters at leading newspapers and magazines around the world. You will also be responsible for aligning stakeholders across the organisation, including the entire C-suite and work closely with our CEO.

You will:

• Develop, plan, align and execute the PR and communications strategy across Moonfare’s target geographies and audiences
• Manage and expand relationships with all publishers — bloggers, trades, newspapers, television and relevant thought leaders
• Own the press release process from ideation and drafting to final clearance and launch
• Manage Moonfare’s press lists and press web page
• Oversee the award and speaking engagement application process from end to end: identify opportunities, complete applications, and ensure that award announcements and speaking engagements run smoothly and achieve maximum impact
• Prepare Moonfare executives and colleagues for interviews and speaking engagements, accompanying them during interviews
• Manage all external PR agencies and freelancers by defining their quarterly OKRs, KPIs, conducting briefings, monitoring their progress and reporting on a monthly basis
• Manage the P&L for PR at Moonfare and assist in budgeting for freelancers, external agencies, subscriptions, tools and paid editorials
• Liaise with the broader marketing team to ensure awareness of all PR initiatives so that the team can coordinate communication across social media, web and events
• Prepare answers to journalists’ questions and help them find the information necessary to complete their reporting
• Ensure all content and external communication meets the highest quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Manage translation of press releases into various languages
• Refine our approach to crisis communications and in the event of a crisis, take ownership of our response, managing internal and external stakeholders and final communications

The next Moonfarian:

• Over 5 years experience in relevant PR, ideally in an agency and/or in a PR/communications function within a financial services or FinTech firm
• Have expertise in how news organisations and publishers work
• Can build relationships with relevant journalists and publications
• Possess knowledge of the private equity and asset management industries
• Is able to synthesise and communicate financial information
• Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal in English
  • An additional language is a bonus, but not required
• Experienced in strategic planning, budgeting and reporting on PR-relevant metrics
• Highly collaborative and able to thrive in a team environment
• Have a strong desire to own PR at Moonfare
• Is available to travel occasionally to provide support on relevant interviews (Tier 1 media)
