Who we are:
At Payam Music, we’re transforming the way piano is taught. While traditional methods have remained unchanged since Mozart’s era, our revolutionary curriculum enables students to learn faster and more effectively. Our students consistently outperform national averages, with 95% reaching diploma level in just 4-5 years, compared to the national average of 1-2% over 10-12 years. In 2024, our students competed against over 300,000 participants, taking all 5 top state spots and 4 of the top 14 national spots in the prestigious PTA Reflections competition.
We recently secured funding to expand rapidly, aiming to open 50-100 new piano schools in the next 5-10 years. Now, we’re looking for an experienced and dynamic marketing leader to help us scale.
About the role:
Reporting to the COO and working closely with the CEO, the Director of Marketing will be responsible for driving our growth across digital, social, and offline channels. This role requires a marketing generalist—someone who can manage everything from lead generation to content creation, social media management to analytics, offline guerrilla marketing or staged events.
Responsibilities:
- Lead generation campaigns: Design, execute, and optimize campaigns across channels such as content marketing, social media, email, events, and digital (organic and paid).
- Build and execute strong content marketing programs: Drive google rankings, engagement and brand amplification.
- Content creation: Collaborate with schools to develop engaging content that resonates with our target audience, from beginners to advanced learners.
- Social media management: Own key channels like Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Youtube, and others. Manage and grow our online presence to reflect our innovative brand.
- Offline marketing: Experiment with different approaches — events, posters, creative guerrilla tactics to drive local buzz and awareness.
- Budget management: Manage the marketing budget efficiently, ensuring a strong return on investment.
- Experimentation and optimization: Drive a culture of innovation by A/B testing and exploring new channels and tactics to improve customer acquisition and retention.
- Eventually - building a team. This will begin as an individual role as we are in startup mode today, but we envision rapid expansion and want a leader who can scale
Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, content marketing, or growth marketing.
- Proven ability to create, manage, and optimize marketing campaigns across multiple channels, online and offline.
- Hands-on experience with paid search, social media advertising (e.g., Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads), marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot), and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Strong skills in social media management and content creation.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to turn insights into action.
- Experience managing budgets and driving ROI.
- Strong communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Management experience or talent.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
