Our mission is simple -- we help teenagers build life-changing habits through psychology, technology, and near-peer mentorship. Here are some of our founding beliefs and insights:
- Being a teenager is more difficult than ever in the age of social media, video games, post-COVID learning, etc. Students often don’t have a support system to help them navigate this especially given the national shortage of teachers and educators, a lack of mental health resources, and a private education market that is largely inaccessible to the average family only compounds the problem.
- Parents want their students to unlock their full potential and become the best version of themselves. However, they don’t want to ruin the relationship they have with their students or may not have the time to be the “micromanagers” of their student’s schedules.
- The idea of near-peer mentorship is fundamental to unlocking a student’s long-term intrinsic motivation because the mentor can:
1. Relate to the student and their interests
2. Probably played the same video games and also grew up in the age of social media
3. Has a more mature perspective and can act as an older brother or sister
These are our guiding beliefs, and our goal is to create psychology-backed technology that genuinely helps our mentors better connect with students. We believe in a world where AI and technology are used in conjunction with human connection to create incredible real-world changes.
