We’re growing quickly, and we’re looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to join our team and make an impact. At Muck Rack, we’re devoted to our customers which is why we are growing the Customer Education team to focus exclusively on expanding the educational resources for our customers.
As an Instructional Designer, you will collaborate on the execution of a unified content strategy that supports the needs of GTM teams and Muck Rack customers. Developing educational resources that drive product mastery and increase team performance across Go-To-Market, you’ll support consistency in execution across GTM through impactful training on new product releases. Partnering with Marketing and Customer Success, you will develop learning experiences that enable greater adoption and engagement with our platform and inspire learning throughout the customer journey. You’ll have an opportunity to create content across a variety of learning channels, including the Muck Rack Help Center, Academy, and our In-App Performance Support tools.
What you’ll do:
- Work alongside Go-To-Market Enablement and Customer Education team members to analyze training needs for our customers
- Develop exciting learning experiences through a unified content strategy and provide a continuous learning path of relevant and impactful education that benefit GTM teams and Muck Rack customers
- Create L&D assets (e.g. courses, videos, webinars, product simulations, etc.) to support awareness and adoption of Muck Rack
- Track and oversee the metrics and reporting needed to measure success and impact of training, tools, and processes
- Build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders from Customer Success, Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Support
- Field internal and external inquiries and content requests for customers

If the details below describe you, you could be a great fit for this role:
- At least 2 years of experience in instructional design at B2B SaaS companies
- 2+ years experience using course authoring and video/audio design tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Illustrator, and TechSmith Camtasia preferred)
- Experience with incorporating multiple media elements into learning programs, including audio, video, animation, simulation, and self-developed graphics
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and needs assessment techniques
- Ability to work autonomously and a desire to own projects from start to finish
- Ability to analyze training needs for revenue professionals and a proven track record of creating training that leads to measurable and observable business outcomes
- Data-driven with a passion to uncover how our customers learn and retain information most effectively
- Great communicator with strong collaboration and project management skills - you’re excited to work with internal stakeholders and able to understand and explain technical features in terms of the value they provide to customers
- Deep empathy for the challenges and motivators for those working in public relations and communications
- Appetite to learn the latest technologies and techniques required to build best-in-class digital education solutions
- Direct experience working with major LMS systems (Skilljar a plus)

Salary
In the US, the base salary for this role is between $79,000 and $95,000, depending on skills and experience. Total compensation for this role consists of base salary and a quarterly bonus plan.We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location. For all other countries, we have competitive pay bands based on market standards.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.
