Linux Administrator

• Description of Position: The Linux Administrator oversees maintaining and optimizing our Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring the stability and performance of our SaaS platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting our systems.
• Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities of the Linux Administrator include managing and maintaining Linux-based servers and Proxmox based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers and associated hardware and software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, integrate, and maintain applications and services.
• Other duties may include:
o Implement and maintain security standards and measures to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

o Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments, applying patches and updates as necessary to maintain a secure infrastructure.
o Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to enhance system performance and scalability, while considering cost-effectiveness.

o Stay up to date on best practices and perform routine system updates, patches, and backups when necessary.

o Monitor and manage system backups, data retention, and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and maintain compliance with data protection regulations.
o Develop and maintain system documentation and best practices.

o Be available for on-call rotation for 24/7 system support when needed.
• Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field/equivalent experience.

o Proven 6+ yrs. of experience as in Linux Administrator / Engineer or IT system administrator.
o Strong knowledge of Linux operation systems.(eg. Ubuntu, CentOS and Kali )
o Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and diagnostics.
o Hands-on experience with setup VM based environment.
o Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python for automation and maintenance tasks.
o Understanding of backup , recovery solutions an rollback strategies.
• Preferred skills:
o Knowledge of Networking and MFT tools.
o knowledge of Proxmox environment setup
