As an Android Lead Developer, you will lead the development of our Android applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and user-friendly. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend developers, to deliver high-quality mobile experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of Android development, as well as leadership capabilities to mentor and guide a team of developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Android applications using Java/Kotlin.
Architect and implement new features, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
Oversee the entire Android development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure seamless user experiences.
Integrate third-party APIs and services, ensuring robust and secure connections.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Manage code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices, implementing them as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Work closely with the QA team to ensure high-quality releases.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proficiency in Java and Kotlin: Extensive experience in Android development using both Java and Kotlin.
Gradle Expertise: Strong understanding and experience with Gradle for building and managing dependencies.
Android SDK & Android Studio: Deep knowledge of the Android SDK and Android Studio, including debugging and profiling tools.
UI/UX Best Practices: Experience with Material Design guidelines and implementing responsive, adaptive layouts.
API Integration: Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and services.
Version Control: Proficiency in Git and other version control systems.
Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile environment, with knowledge of Scrum or Kanban.
Leadership: Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of developers.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
Familiarity with Jetpack Compose.
Contributions to open-source Android projects.-- nice to have
