We are looking for a motivated Android Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in Kotlin and Java programming languages to join our team. The Android Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform. This role requires a strong understanding of mobile app development, UI/UX principles, and a passion for creating innovative and user-friendly experiences.
Mobile App Development:
- Design and implement user-friendly, robust, and scalable Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Code Quality and Best Practices:
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Implement best practices for coding, testing, and code reviews.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency.
UI/UX Implementation:
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Optimise user interfaces for performance, scalability, and accessibility.
Testing and Debugging:
- Conduct unit tests and UI tests to identify and fix bugs promptly.
- Work with QA teams to ensure thorough testing of applications before deployment.
Documentation and Maintenance:
- Document code changes and ensure comprehensive documentation of applications.
- Support and maintain existing applications, troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolution.
- Communicate effectively with team members and Founders, Co-founders & Board of Members, clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-5 years of professional experience in Android application development using Kotlin and Java.
- Strong understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries and APIs integration.
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
