We are looking for a part-time or full-time digital marketer to assist with our upcoming product launch.
If you have experience in a range of marketing channels and been involved in a product launch (startup), this is ideal!
The product is a flash card deck that we ship to our customers via express post. The card deck is for UX designers, it's both fun and educational. Your role is to bring traffic to the website and increase sales over time.
The channels we are interested in focusing on are primarily free channels to build our subscriber list and convert them to customers.
Key channels:
- Email marketing (build subscriber list and nurture sequence to sales). Send a warm-up email to the existing email list to prepare them for your upcoming release - a call-to-action inviting comments/engagement can help build the relationship and also improve deliverability.
- Social media posts daily (Instagram, Tiktok (video creation) and linkedin)
- Influencer marketing by getting others to promote our upcoming launch in exchange for a free deck/payment
- Reach out to partnerships people from companies like General Assembly and Academy Xi to explore collaboration opportunities - teach something of value, and get sign-ups/conversions at the end
For example, email marketing is important and we want your support to focus on each aspect of email marketing:
Email marketing expert (outbound cold emails)
Understanding Lead Generation strategies, how to nurture subscribers and how to sell themList building (Lead generation)
Understanding the different life-cycle stages of subscribers and how to engage and convert themCopywriting (Email and landing page)
Email copywriting (subject lines, tell stories in email, CTA). Building email layouts and simple designs that reflect the brand.Split testing/Analytics (How to improve conversion)
Understand the most important metrics to measure the efficiency of an email campaigns. Testing emails for higher open rate.
Understanding the basics of user experience design is a big plus.
You need to be:

- Responsible
Please provide your hourly rate and availability (we are working Melbourne, Australia business hours) along with any examples of your work that demonstrate you can deliver good results in each of these areas - particularly if its product launch related. You will also be paid a % of all sales made via the website!
We will be hiring for a minimum of 6 months and if goes well we will want you to stay for at least 18 months.
