The Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Automation Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team which is responsible for managing our cloud estate. This team primarily focuses on customer-facing products, however, work can also include internal tooling.

The day-to-day will involve anything from implementing complex networking architecture to migration projects and provides good scope for a passionate engineer to grow and develop.

Responsibilities:

• Coding using a variety of Infrastructure-as-Code tooling
• Designing and implementing delivery systems that are robust and leverage the power of the latest cloud technologies
• Supporting internal systems and working closely with customer-facing teams to ensure smooth rollouts
• Maintaining a custom web server that provides a GUI for internal stakeholders
• Converting customer intentions into web pages, batches, and infrastructure; ensuring scalability and maintainability
• Promotion of CI/CD, Git and ticketing best practices throughout the company

Requirements

Main Skills/Competencies:

• Proven track record developing with C#, C++ or another OOP language
• Deep expertise with AWS technologies such as S3, ECS, Systems Manager etc.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerisation and networking
• Experience working with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar
• Good scripting ability using PowerShell or Bash
• Knowledge of industry-standard tooling and approaches
• Pragmatic approach to software design and implementation
• Ability to think in an analytic and abstract manner
