Senior Node.js Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Node.js Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 6-7 years of experience in developing robust and scalable web applications using Node.js. This is a remote position, and the candidate must be available to work during IST (Indian Standard Time) hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs using Node.js.
• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• System Architecture: Collaborate with the team to design system architecture and choose the right tools and frameworks for each project.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks in existing applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality of applications.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and provide guidance to ensure high-quality code output.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of code, processes, and system configurations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Node.js Expertise: Extensive experience with Node.js and related frameworks (e.g., Express.js).
• JavaScript Proficiency: Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ features.
• Database Management: Experience with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and proficiency in writing efficient queries.
• API Development: Proficient in designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Version Control: Strong understanding of version control systems, especially Git.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with remote teams.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Front-End Knowledge: Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Testing: Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools such as Mocha, Chai, Jest, or similar.
• Security: Knowledge of security best practices and implementation in web applications.
