About the role

Sensara is looking for a product engineer with keen interest in productising awesome technology - making products work for customers and users. We're looking for proficiency in Python, Django, Cloud systems, API design, Web services- with a big liking towards highly available and deployable systems.

You'll often wearing a product hat and get rounded to become a product architect. If you have empathy for the user and customer, and wish to make this happen through your code - this is the right match.

In this role, you will:

• Work on challenging problems in the fields of Video Information Retrieval, Content Discovery, Search and Knowledge Graphs
• Design, architect, develop and ship high performance, reliable applications using technologies like Django, React, Solr, Postgres, Redis
• Explore new technologies, work on new ideas/prototypes defining the state-of-art in the TV industry
• Take ownership of end-to-end product quality, from developing, maintaining to scaling our products while ensuring excellent user experience
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize product quality and efficiency
• Contribute technical ideas and suggestions to enhance the direction of the product and company
• Work closely with a cross-functional team with strong domain knowledge across Hardware, Search, Data & Machine Learning

What we'd like from you:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Strength with computer science fundamentals, with a particular focus on Data Structures & Algorithms
• Good software design and programming skills
• Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and interface with non-engineers
• Experience with Django and/or React is a plus
• Experience building end to end user facing products is a plus
