Experience bracket: 6 to 15 years

At e6data, we are building the next generation of distributed compute engine for hyper-performant SQL query processing. We are looking for a DevOps engineer who will be responsible for automating the design, coding, and deployment of critical components of our infrastructure within our cloud environments. Developing CI/CD pipelines, instrumenting code to report relevant metrics, and building safe and efficient build processes are all a part a day’s work.

Core Responsibilities

• Building a world class Data Infrastructure/Orchestration/Analytics Platform that covers a wide spectrum of distributed systems, high availability, at scale architecture, using open source/creating own components by pushing the technology and product boundaries
• Building the DevOps culture in team with the core values of openness, ownership, automation and quality
• Contributing in tech roadmap with recommendations, design analysis on proposed solutions
• Providing technical leadership to a team throughout the project lifecycle
• Reviewing and validating solutions designs from other team members
• Introducing automation, not just as a skill, but as a basic DNA in the team and company
• Creating solutions for internal and external stakeholders in terms of infra and ops leading to business success

Must have skills

• Experience developing at scale architecture systems from the scratch
• Hands-on experience on High Availability and Disaster Recovery Scenarios
• Working Experience with kubernetes/Openstack
• Hands on experience with monitoring solutions (LGTM stack)
• Excellent programming skills in Python/Go
• Experience with Terraform or similar IAC tools
• Excellent understanding of one or more cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure
