About the Role

Chimoney is looking for an experienced Head of Finance with a strong background in compliance to oversee our financial operations and ensure regulatory adherence. This role is critical to maintaining the financial health of the company and ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, liquidity and treasury and financial forcasting and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to maintain sound financial management.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
• Manage financial risk and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filings.

Qualifications

You will need to have:

• Must have prior Banking Leadership or Finance Leadership experience, specifically, in a Fintech
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Experience implementing and Managing Liquidity Strategies, Treasury Management, and other relevant experience required in Startup Finance
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
