About the Role
Chimoney is a network of Payment networks making global end users happy with exclusive payout options and off-ramps in the form of gift cards from top brands, airtime, Mobile Money, cryptocurrencies. From the seamless bulk payout experience in Chipay to the ability to use crypto to buy gift cards and more, Chimoney is improving the quality of life for all through fair access to rewards. We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our startup team. As a Business Development Representative, you are representing Chimoney as the point of contact with potential clients. You’ll have an outsized impact on the entire organization by working on key initiatives across multiple areas, including negotiating deals, nurturing deals, and special projects. In this role, you will work closely with Chimoney’s leadership to structure and solve complex problems, then drive solutions forward across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential clients through targeted lead generation.
- Cold call and email prospects to introduce our services and generate interest. Minimum of
- 100 calls/day
- Emails up to 500/day
- Qualify leads and schedule appointments.
- Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales.
- Close deals within the first 3 months
- Remain in regular contact with clients to understand and meet their needs.
- Present products to prospective clients in person or online.
- Closing Client deals and generating new sales.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and messaging.
- Track and report on sales progress and key performance metrics.
- Attend industry events and conferences to represent the company and generate leads.
Qualifications
You will need to have:
- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or related field.
- Experience in negotiating and closing deals with other startup companies and related fields.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with cold calling and email outreach.
- Ability to build relationships and maintain strong client connections.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
