Role Description
As a Product Designer at GIST Impact, you will be crucial in designing user experiences that transform complex data into actionable insights for B2B and B2B2B products. Your role will involve creating intuitive and visually compelling interfaces for data analysis, portfolio views, data experiences, and data catalogues.
Role and Responsibilities
- Customer Understanding: Collaborate with the product team to understand our customers' needs, empathise with them, and develop creative solutions that support sustainable decision-making.
- Concept Development: Explore multiple ideas and develop concepts for products and features with distinct value propositions.
- Visual Identity: Develop a visual identity, brand language, and set of design principles across GIST’s main products, aligning with GIST’s vision and target audience.
- Interface Design: Iteratively redesign the interfaces and workflows of GIST’s product suite, leveraging UI/UX research methodologies to enhance user experience.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with client, product, and engineering teams to ensure a balanced delivery of GIST’s capabilities, customer needs, and business value.
- Data Experience Design: Design intuitive and engaging user experiences for data analysis, portfolio views, data experiences, and data catalogues.
- Co-Creation: Prepare for and participate in customer co-creation sessions, developing mock-ups and new features for testing.
- Customer Experience Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve the customer experience, propose new features/solutions, and validate assumptions through customer research.
Required Skills and Experience

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on experience in designing data-driven products and platforms, particularly within the financial and investment sectors or similar fields involving data visualisation.
- Tools: Proficiency with prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, and Framer.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of HTML, Bootstrap, Angular (preferred), VueJS, React, and Ionic.
- Design Skills: Strong visual design abilities to establish a cohesive product identity across all offerings.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate design solutions, navigate stakeholder requirements, and build consensus.
- Experience in Data-Intensive Environments: Experience in developing interfaces for B2B or B2B2C SaaS platforms, particularly those involving data analysis and visualization.
- Start-up Experience: Experience working in a start-up environment is preferred.
- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with agile methodology and working in cross-functional collaborative teams.
