About Entromy
Entromy is a leading SaaS organizational insights platform built to de-risk private equity investments from a strategic, operational and talent perspective. Entromy now partners with more than 80 leading private equity firms and hundreds of their portfolio companies to help ensure value creation plans become reality through organizational health and talent assessments.
About the Role
We’re looking for a pragmatic, growth-minded Director/VP of Account Management with a proven track record of success to lead our Account Management team. Initially the role will offer the opportunity to work as a player-coach, setting the right example for the rest of the team to follow, and this will quickly transition to a fully managerial role.
As first-line manager, you will coach and develop Account Managers who manage relationships with our existing PE partners. You will also lead your team towards quota attainment.
You will report directly to the Founder and CEO and work closely with leaders of other teams in the revenue org.
Entromy is a remote-first company.
What you will do
- Manage a team of Account Managers to deliver goal-attainment – expansion, upsell and renewal of business with existing PE relationships.
- Provide leadership and direction to the team – including hiring, training, and pace setting with inception of new rhythms and cadences tying together reporting and coaching needs.
- Develop specific and targeted goals for contributors on your team to help them grow and develop.
- Find innovative and creative ways to improve and increase performance.
- Execute, iterate, and improve on existing PE partner and portfolio company relationships to develop best practices that scale.
- Support consistent and consultative sales and client success processes.
- Directly manage and resolve customer escalations when needed.
- Take an entrepreneurial approach to the role, working collaboratively with the rest of the leadership team to get things done.
- Be an active ambassador of Entromy’s brand, drive successful market visibility across the right PE networks
- Understand Entromy’s capabilities, solutions, and how it relates to supporting portfolio companies at given private equity firms
- Liaise with the product team to identify customer needs and how they can be incorporated into Entromy’s product roadmap, helping to prioritize new features based on changing customer needs.
- Actively shape Entromy’s growth trajectory, business priorities and market expansion
- Drive commercial and investment planning conversations at Entromy to accelerate business growth
What you will need
- A minimum 2 years of experience scaling and managing a client-facing sales or account management team in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Previous experience as a top-performing account manager or sales executive
- Proven track record of team quota-attainment via new product sales, expansion through partnerships (ideally experience with a land-and-expand revenue strategy)
- Proven leadership skills and people management skills
- Ability to build trust and successfully manage relationships with PE operating, deal partners and executive audience at portfolio companies
- Highly effective communicator with good people instincts - able to build trust and work well with a diverse group inside and outside the company
- Eager for a very hands-on role, where you’ll be asked to take on and run with a range of projects, and learn quickly
- Highly organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented, with great follow-through on projects/tasks big and small
- High integrity individual who’s enthusiastic about building a great company for the long term
- Courage and the “builder mindset” to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it. See something broken? Fix it.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/BA degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience and success in managing relationships, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer ownership role (ie: Account Management, Customer Success, Sales role)
