We are seeking a skilled and experienced freelance Machine Learning Intern to join our team on a project basis. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide training services for various machine learning models, including detection models such as YOLO (You Only Look Once), as well as other models for different tasks. The candidate will also be responsible for fine-tuning the hyperparameters, such as confidence threshold and Intersection over Union (IoU) threshold, to achieve optimal performance of the models. Additionally, proficiency in working with different ta formats like JSON, CSV, and familiarity with the COCO annotation format is essential.
Responsibilities:
Train several computer vision models under the guidance of expert team.
Work with provided datasets in various formats, such as JSON and CSV, to prepare them for training.
Apply knowledge of the COCO annotation format to create ground truth data for the models.
Conduct experiments and analyze results to iteratively improve the performance of the models.
Collaborate with the client or project team to ensure the availability and quality of training data.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements and research in machine learning and computer vision.
Provide technical guidance and support to the client or project team members working on model development projects.
Document the training process, including configurations, hyperparameters, and any modifications made to the models.
Assist in the evaluation and selection of appropriate models for specific tasks and datasets.
Collaborate with data annotation team for providing necessary data based on requirements.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, deep learning algorithms, and computer vision techniques.
Proven experience in training and fine-tuning machine learning models, including detection models like YOLO.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in machine learning, such as Python, and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Experience working with various data formats, including JSON and CSV.
Familiarity with the COCO annotation format and the ability to create ground truth data for the models.
Solid knowledge of hyperparameter tuning techniques and experience optimizing model performance metrics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address issues during the training process.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients or project teams remotely.
Availability:
Ability to manage time effectively and deliver high-quality work within project deadlines, working approximately 10-20 hours per week.
Remuneration:
The remuneration for this freelance position will be discussed and mutually agreed upon based on the scope of each project.
Preferred Qualifications:
Research experience in machine learning, computer vision, or related areas.
Familiarity with other popular models and algorithms used in computer vision tasks.
Experience with cloud-based machine learning platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
