NLP intern (NewsGenie)

We are looking for an NLP intern to join our team and help us develop and deploy cutting-edge natural language processing solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NLP techniques and be familiar with Langchain, an LLM (OpenAI API).

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and robust NLP applications using Python and Langchain.
• Utilize machine learning and NLP techniques for various application needs, such as text classification, semantic analysis, data mining, information extraction, sentiment analysis, speech recognition, and machine translation.
• Implement NLP tasks to process and analyze text data and build language models.
• Use vector databases, and similarity searches to build systems.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders, integrating user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement security and data protection.
• Participate in our agile development processes and in our continuous integration framework.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field.
• 1+ year of experience with NLP techniques and Python.
• Experience with Langchain or other LLMs.
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
