Senior Data Scientist

Mission:

Join our highly specialized customer-facing ML team at PhrasIQ, addressing the increasing demand for Large Language Model (LLM)-based solutions. We deliver professional services to help customers build, scale, and optimize ML pipelines, shaping strategic priorities alongside engineering, product, and developer relations teams.

The impact you will have:

• Develop LLM solutions on customer data, including RAG architectures on enterprise knowledge repos, querying structured data with natural language, and content generation
• Build, scale, and optimize customer data science workloads, applying best-in-class MLOps to productionize these workloads across various domains
• Advise data teams on architecture, tooling, and best practices
• Present at industry conferences
• Provide technical mentorship to the larger ML SME community at PhrasIQ
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to define priorities and influence the product roadmap

What we look for:

• Experience with the latest NLP techniques, including fine-tuning LLMs and deploying them with tools such as HuggingFace, Langchain, and OpenAI
• 5+ years of hands-on industry data science experience using machine learning and data science tools like pandas, scikit-learn, gensim, nltk, and TensorFlow/PyTorch
• Building production-grade ML deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Passion for collaboration, lifelong learning, and driving business value through ML
• Preferred experience with Apache Spark for large-scale distributed datasets
