Software Development Engineer II (SDE 2) - Satellite Payload Development

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer II (SDE 2) to join our dynamic team and take a leading role in the development of software for satellite payloads. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing software solutions for satellite-based systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of software for satellite payloads, including communication protocols, data processing algorithms, and control systems.
• Architect scalable and robust software solutions that meet the performance and reliability requirements of satellite applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software development practices.
• Drive innovation and technical excellence by staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and technical discussions to ensure the success of satellite payload projects.
• Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components and optimize system performance.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on embedded systems or real-time applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication and leadership skills.
