We're Sweep, a VC-backed startup on a mission to create a safer digital world for everyone by creating the world’s most advanced cyber expert for those on the move.

How? At a time when physical and digital realities converge, technology is ubiquitous, and mobile is king, we’re creating the world’s first intelligent cyber expert that leverages Augmented Reality and the latest sensor technologies to detect, visualize, and mitigate emerging cyber threats in real-time.

With support from Inspired Capital, Argon Ventures, and speciality dual-use VC New North, we’re accelerating our growth and scaling our team right in the heart of New York. As an iOS Developer, you'll embark on the next chapter with us.

🛠 What you’ll do

• Collaborate with founders & Lead Frontend Engineer to build and own products.
• Utilize our current build to shape and elevate our vision, leveraging technologies like Swift, UIKit, ARKit, Object-C, Firebase, and Google Cloud.
• Transform ideas into reality – from Figma designs and prototypes to functional iOS deliverables.
• Embrace architectural patterns like MVC, 0, and VIPER to ensure clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Manage code collaboration & version control using GitHub, ensuring efficient team workflows and high-quality code integration.
• Evaluate, contribute to and improve our early codebase and tech stack to meet industry standards, focusing on enhancing maintainability, scalability, and performance.
• Implement rigorous testing frameworks in Xcode, depicting proficiency with XCTest for ensuring both functionality and user experience quality.
• Lead and optimize DevOps practices including setting up and maintaining release pipelines using Fastlane, ensuring smooth and swift product iterations
• Own and pioneer projects ensuring quality and performance from conception to deployment.
• Tackle complex engineering challenges. Be comfortable with being uncomfortable. There won’t be hard answers for much of what we do. We solve problems as we go. Enjoy the ride.

💪 Must-haves

• Love the early startup stage. Thrive in ambiguity, and focus on delivering results.
• N years in a software engineering role supporting real production systems at scale (where N is a reasonable number). You’ve built, broken, and fixed mobile products before.
• Experience in iOS development, including mastery in Swift, Objective-C, NoSQL backends, Human Interface Guidelines, with proficiency in multi-threading, logging, memory management, and caching.
• Know-how to scale systems at speed, develop and debug across a diverse service stack, including storage and data solutions.
• Be a self starter. Thrive in a flat, fast-moving team. Take risks. Do it. Own it.

• Experience with mobile AR solutions and location-based services.
• Experience with Internet-of-Things (IoT) including BLE, WiFi, and spatial computing.
• Passionate about the future of the open internet, the AI arms-race, and its implications for democracy.

🌎 Location

We’re New York City based (exceptions can be made for those willing to travel for regular face-to-face collaboration). You can expect a balanced mix of office and remote days. We value in-person interactions for their unique spark in an early-stage startup environment, which can't be fully replicated in a remote setting.
