Responsibilities and Duties

As part of our strategic expansion plan for our Chicago office, we are actively seeking for an options trader who will play a pivotal role in executing and managing options trading strategies. Your focus will be on driving profitability while effectively managing risk. Utilizing your extensive market knowledge and analytical abilities, you will make informed trading decisions.

What you offer

• Execute and oversee options trading strategies, including market making, volatility trading, and hedging.
• Monitor market conditions, news, and events to identify potential trading opportunities and develop trading tactics based on proprietary research and market analysis.
• Collaborate with other traders and quantitative researchers to optimize existing strategies
• Work closely with traders, developers, and support staff to improve trading infrastructure and systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as an Options Trader in a proprietary trading firm or financial institution
• Proven track record of profitability and consistent trading performance in options markets.
• Strong knowledge of options pricing models, volatility analysis, and quantitative trading strategies.
• Proficiency in options trading software, market data feeds, and order management systems.
• Deep understanding of financial markets, including equity options, index options, and futures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick and informed trading decisions.
• Ability to thrive and make decisions in a fast-paced trading environment and handle pressure effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
