About the job

Mission:

The Sales Director, GenAI will report into the VP of Sales and will lead a team of Strategic Account Executives responsible for landing, expanding, and nurturing relationships with our most strategic GenAI model builder customers. You’ll be responsible for building PhrasIQ’s book of business and driving revenue growth across PhrasIQ’s GenAI product areas. You’ll need to run an effective GTM strategy and work with your team to develop and execute individual territory and account plans. Finally, you’ll be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and developing a deep understanding of our customer’s needs and challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a vision and strategy for the GenAI model builders vertical aligned with PhrasIQ’s objectives.
  • Achieve ARR revenue targets to support year-over-year growth.
  • Lead and coach the sales team on all commercial activities, including negotiations and expanding our footprint within accounts.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Strategic Account Executives, fostering their growth and ensuring outstanding client experiences.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to generate pipeline, drive sales opportunities, and achieve repeatable and predictable bookings.
  • Support the team on complex deals, becoming a trusted advisor to PhrasIQ’s clients.
  • Utilize relationships and internal networks to identify new growth opportunities and contribute to resource optimization.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of sales experience, with a proven track record of closing seven-figure deals in the AI/ML and LLM domain or software cloud deals.
  • Experience in new and growth business development and overachievement of sales targets.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management experience.
  • Ability to execute GTM strategies that result in achieving team and company targets.
  • Experience engaging with influential executives and possessing strong executive presence.
  • Familiarity with solution selling and consultative sales techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
  • Adaptability to high-growth, fast-paced environments.
