Backend Engineer - Web3 & DeFi

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Backend & DevOps Engineer with a solid background in software development and system operations. This role demands a mix of high technical proficiency, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to innovate and implement scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Architect: Utilize Node.js and TypeScript to build backend services that are secure, scalable, and efficient.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Design and manage infrastructure on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, ensuring our systems are reliable and poised for growth.
• Performance Optimization: Focus on writing optimized, high-quality code that drives our products and services.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely within cross-functional teams to develop and refine our technology stack, contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes and products.
• Bridging Infrastructure: Develop and manage bridging infrastructure, run Ethereum clients, scale RPCs, and provide excellent subgraph experience.
• DApp/Oracle Utilization: Utilize and integrate decentralized applications (dApps) and oracles into our systems.
• Data Availability Layer: Work with data availability layers to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our data processes.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript, and familiarity with the ecosystem including tools like Bun, Libsql, and Prisma.
• Proven track record in architecting, managing, and scaling services in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• A commitment to writing efficient and maintainable code.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with any of Alloy, Viem, Web3.py, etc.
• Experience with building ETL pipelines, SQL, Dune, Python, Polars, and Rust.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with systems languages (Rust, Go, Zig).
• Experience with Web3 and Crypto domain.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Basic understanding of finance concepts (Finance 101).
