Product Engineer - BackEnd

TL;DR: Seeking an experienced Back-end Developer (Product Engineer) with expertise in blockchain technology to build and scale the Proof-of-Skill protocol, a decentralized system for skill verification and credentialing.

Proof of Skill protocol is a blockchain-based system where industry experts (Validators) evaluate candidates' skills and issue verifiable Skill Credentials. Organizations can then shortlist candidates based on these credentials.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in back-end development, with a strong focus on blockchain technology
• Proven track record of building and scaling decentralized applications (dApps) or blockchain-based products
• In-depth understanding of blockchain architectures, consensus mechanisms, and smart contract development
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Solidity, Rust, Go, or other relevant languages for blockchain development
• Familiarity with various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Polkadot, Cosmos, Solana) and their respective ecosystems
• Experience with decentralized storage solutions (e.g., IPFS, Filecoin) and decentralized identity protocols
• Strong knowledge of cryptocurrency wallets, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721), and blockchain security best practices
• Familiarity with decentralized finance (DeFi) concepts is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop the core back-end components of the Proof of Skill protocol, including smart contracts, blockchain integration, and off-chain services
• Implement secure and efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms for skill credentials and validator information
• Develop and integrate decentralized identity solutions for validators and candidates
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of the protocol as it grows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, UX designers, and product managers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest blockchain technology trends and advancements
• Contribute to the project's technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives
