About the job

DESCRIPTION

We are working on innovative concepts in residential home design. We are designing the interior space as part of this new model home centered around self-care and zen living. You will render several rooms in the home, exploring architectural design ideas and materials, iterating on the design with feedback from the architects, and finding opportunities for cost reduction. The aesthetic is modern with elements of Japanese and mid-century design. You will take input from our team, but can also contribute your own ideas. We will guide you throughout the process so that you leave the internship with great knowledge of real-world residential architecture.

Does the idea of growing with a company that creates highly innovative consumer products, becoming a critical member of its team appeal to you? Our interns only work on projects that will be used in the real world. You will gain valuable experience working with our senior team. We are ultimately looking for students that have an interest in new residential projects and innovation, creativity, are smart and hungry to learn!

At Nanda Home, we are committed to providing a supportive and structured environment for all of our interns. From the start, you’ll be given an initial orientation to familiarize yourself with our processes and tools, ensuring that you feel prepared as you begin your internship.
We believe in fostering continuous development, offering ongoing feedback to help you track your progress and excel in your role. Formal evaluations are provided to your University. Throughout your experience, you'll stay connected with your advisors through various tools of communication, ensuring you have the guidance and support you need.

TO APPLY:

Note that we are taking interns on a rolling basis, so you can apply to start any time now or for the winter. We can accept internships of 20 hours or more.
Please provide a few sentences of what you seek in an internship and what drew you to Nanda Home. Send your portfolio link, your resume in PDF format, and answers to the following questions to [email protected]:

1) What is your earliest start date?

2) How many hours would you like to work per week?

3) This is a fully remote position for the time being. Can you use your own laptop (or other equipment as needed), wifi connection/software?

4) Tell us a bit about your experience and skills as it relates to this position.

5) This internship is unpaid, eventually, unpaid for college credit, if your university accepts this modality. Is that okay with you?

6) What is your preferred software for realistic renders?

7) How many years have you been using this software?

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • The student will receive mentor-ship from our CEO and Architect
