Role : Senior Director Finance
Job Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy
and compliance with accounting standards and regulations - Manage the company's financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable,
and general ledger - Develop and implement policies and procedures for financial reporting and internal controls
- Communicate financial results to key stakeholders, such as the board of directors, investors, and
lenders
2. Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial plans and budgets, including long-term financial forecasts and
strategic plans - Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Monitor performance against budget and forecasts, and take corrective action as needed
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support decision-making
- Provide strategic financial advice to the members of the core team
3. Risk Management:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage financial risks, including credit risk,
market risk, and operational risk - Monitor and assess the company's overall risk profile
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Manage financial risks and ensure the organization's financial stability by monitoring cash flows,
analyzing financial statements, and identifying potential areas of concern
4. Treasury:
- Manage the company's cash and liquidity, including cash flow forecasting and management of
bank accounts - Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures
- Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions
- Identify and execute financing opportunities, such as debt or equity offerings
- Lead fundraising initiatives and work closely with investors and banks to secure funding
5. Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations
- Develop tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities
- Manage relationships with tax authorities and advisors
- Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting
6. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance
- Manage relationships with regulators and auditors
- Ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting
7. Leadership and Management:
- Provide leadership to the finance team and develop a high-performance culture
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in the finance function
Manage the performance of the finance team and provide feedback and coaching
Collaborate with other departments and senior management to achieve the company's overall
goalsWork with internal stakeholders to ensure financial plans are aligned with business objectives and
provide strategic guidance on financial mattersContinuously evaluate and improve finance processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or related field. MBA, CA or CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior
leadership role. Experience preferred in IT service company - Demonstrated experience in managing financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and
fundraising initiatives - Demonstrated experience in managing entities located in India and US
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic guidance on
financial matters - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to a
variety of stakeholders - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external
stakeholders - Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
