In a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, you'll often wear multiple hats, taking on varied roles as the situation demands. As we evolve, you'll play a crucial role in being the first point-of-contact with small and medium business owners looking to switch from generators to solar.
We seek someone that is diligent and persistent in their work and ready to build the future of Earthbond. You’ll be eager to meet customers where they are and educate them on the benefits and savings that solar can provide them and their businesses
- Building a repeatable sales playbook to increase conversion and success rates
- Establishing relationships with key businesses associations to establish a GTM strategy
- Compile relevant market research on key industries and business domains
Job responsibilities
- Generate leads through market research, networking, and cold calling
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships and promote the company’s products and services.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
- Identify customer needs and provide solutions based on the company’s products and services
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
- Provide after-sales support to customers.
- Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare and submit sales reports and forecasts.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, competitors, and new products and services.
- Liaise with banking partners to track and support customer financing
About you
We’re looking for a sales officer who can hit the ground running. You are a seasoned full-stack software developer with a solid track record in shipping web applications. A creator at heart, you are not afraid to build something from scratch. You value simple, evidence-based solutions and leverage rapid prototyping and experimentation to find them. As part of a startup in an emergent tech industry, you recognize that constant learning is a must. Diving into new technologies, libraries, and platforms appeals to you.

Minimum requirements
- 3 years of relevant sales experience
- Proficiency selling to small and medium businesses
- A grasp of selling off-grid and standalone or grid-tied solutions (generators, inverters, solar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- University degree
Nice to have
- A foundational understanding of electrical energy
- High awareness of energy usage and costs across different locations and sources
- Experience building a sales playbook from scratch
Compensation:
Starting at ₦200K/mo + uncapped commission
