Our team is on the lookout for a Computer Vision Engineer with a deep understanding of stereo vision, camera calibration, and 3D measurement algorithms, who is also a wizard with Python programming.
Role Overview:
As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of our innovative camera-based Sports analytics and officiating system. You’ll leverage your expertise in calibration, measurement, and stereo vision algorithms to build a system that ensures precise and reliable data analytics. This role is for a tech-savvy innovator who is ready to take on challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance algorithms for stereo vision-based camera systems for highly accurate player tracking and Ball tracking.
- Implement precise camera calibration techniques to ensure the integrity of object coordinates captured from multiple angles.
- Optimize 3D measurement strategies
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code to handle image data processing and algorithm implementation.
- Collaborate with the product team to design camera setups that align with the technical requirements of sports analytics.
- Apply machine learning models to improve the system's interpretive capabilities under diverse and dynamic match conditions.
- Perform rigorous testing and validation of the camera system to ensure robust performance during live matches.
- Create technical documentation and provide insights for product development iterations.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning to inform system enhancements.
- Work cross-functionally to integrate the vision system with other technology components of the officiating solution.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with a focus on computer vision; advanced degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in developing stereo vision systems, preferably within a sports technology context.
- Demonstrated expertise in camera calibration, 3D measurement, and vision algorithm development.
- Proficient in Python, with a strong understanding of software development best practices.
- Hands-on experience with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV) and machine learning platforms.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and excellent teamwork skills.
