Backend Developer

We are looking for individuals who love and enjoy building scalable products. The ideal candidate is someone who has a collaborative process and is comfortable with ambiguity. You will be the earliest members of the product engineering team and will have an opportunity to define the culture. If you enjoy the zero-to-one process, this is for you.
You will be working with the engineering team and focusing on developing backend applications for our products. You will be responsible for developing and managing products, hence the ability to quickly find solutions for abstract problems is a must.

What you’ll do:

• Implement and design scalable APIs following a microservice architecture.
• Work on implementing business logic and features, scale-out existing infrastructure in Django/Python/Celery/Redis/ELK stack, etc.
• Implement modules and algorithms for increasing efficiency, accuracy and adoption.
• Implement and contribute to key architectural decisions, authentications, security between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Work on Database and Cloud management along with scaling an application to support load changes
• Optimize server and protocol performance to improve efficiency and latency
• You love programming, ship code to production quickly and are passionate about building products for web & mobile

What you have:

• 2+ years of experience developing applications using Django framework
• Knowledge of Both relational and non-relational databases like PostGreSQL/MongoDB
• Understands basic concepts of frontend using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Should have knowledge about versioning tools preferable GIT
• Strong foundation in data structures & algorithms, I/O
• Experience in developing Microservices, Concurrent, Event-driven systems
• Has object-oriented design and development experience; knowledge of data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, multi-threading, and complexity analysis.

Good to have:

• Dev Ops experience is an added advantage
• Previous startup experience
• Experience in using at least one cloud services provider, preferably GCP
