_Build and Release Automation Engineer _

Securly is looking for someone to help us improve the automation of our build and release pipeline. This role will live within our internal devOps organization, and requires strong knowledge of infrastructure concepts. Candidates will be expected to primarily help us develop software and processes which automate our existing build and release procedures.

What Will You Do

• Write software and scripts to automate tasks related to build and release of multiple software projects
• Execute the subsequent software, and execute any manual steps still involved in the build and release process
• Provide communication to stakeholders about the current status of each step in the build and release process.
• Provide support to multiple internal development teams for GitHub branching, merging, rebasing, SDLC process validations
• Work with teams to review current practices and make recommendations on adopting Continuous Delivery best practices
• Work closely with developers and QA to ensure builds are stable upon release

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• prior experience automating build and release
• strong understanding of and comfort working in linux environments
• strong understanding of git - branching, commits, tagging, merging
• experience with Jenkins
• strong bash scripting skills
• experience with AWS - ec2 (such as ASGs and LBs), code-deploy, s3, RDS, image builder, lambda
• experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferrably using cloudformation in yaml, but other IaC providers are acceptable.
• experience with github actions
• knowledge of github package registry
• other programming experience in languages such as python or golang
• experience with or knowledge of apache server management.
