Our team has recently launch several innovative hydration solutions, including the HydraLamp: the world's first table lamp with features that allow it to store, filter, chill, and dispense water.
The Director of Sales is a manager responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans, maximizing revenue generation, and achieving sales targets. Their primary focus will be on managing and mentoring a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring their success through effective coaching and development initiatives. They collaborates with business development leaders to identify new opportunities in B2B and Retail sales, and additionally liaises with outside customers to guage opportunities to develop or modify exclusive products for HID SIPS to sell. They collaborate with the engineering team to relay requirements for custom sales, as they arise. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to build cross-functional relationships. The ideal candidate is very driven with a passion for generating large purchase orders in the consumer product industry. They have a growth mindset and are comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial team environment. The Director of Sales is involved in every aspect of the product sales process, from generating new leads to serving as the liason for the customer through order delivery. They possess the ability to develop presentation materials to convey sales vision, benchmarks, and execution.
ABOUT THE WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Our headquarters are based out of Austin, Texas, however this role will be remote. This role’s time commitment will increase over time, however will fluctuate throughout the development and manufacturing process. Estimated at 5-15 hours per week starting out, with the eventual commitment being 40+ hours per week as design and production ramp up.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and communicate sales goals and ensure C-level executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand HID SIPS LLC customer base
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives, objections, and
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations to potential leads, leads, potential investors, investors, team members, and other key stakeholders
- Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
- Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
- Build a team of sales professionals with budget and compensation strategy approved by board of directors, and as stated in section 1.5.1
- Directly manage and mentor sales team, providing leadership and coaching of direct resources and agencies to execute on all elements of the sales strategy
- Establishing a sales training program to train new employees
- Designing and implementing strategic plans to reach sales targets.
- Assessing costs, competition, and supply and demand to identify selling prices.
- Get approval from board of directors on all final sales price per unit, unless otherwise agreed upon
- Maintain a pipeline of sales
- Participate at relevant events, including speaking opportunities, tradeshows, conferences, accelerators, and other community events
- Collaborate closely with Engineering team to communicate proper requirements, create milestones for custom orders, and ensure satisfactory and quality delivery of product to customer
- Collaborate closely with Director of Marketing by providing feedback and creating strategic plans to reach revenue goals, establishing sales objectives and sales budgets
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience as a successful sales leader, preferably in consumer product industry.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics for strategic decision-making.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.

COMPENSATION:
- 15% Commission on All Sales
