If helping businesses integrate their sales and marketing workflows with our software is your JAM, this is the role for you!

Businesses using our software vary in size and technical expertise. They use our platform to run referral marketing programs (refer-a-friend programs) that connect to CRMs, marketing forms, and/or ecommerce stores.

Each customer is a little different and they often need hands-on help to get everything working. That's where you come in.

What is Referral Rock?

Referral Rock is a marketing technology SaaS (software as a service). Our mission is to track and scale word of mouth for businesses. The best businesses already get organic word of mouth referrals, we help them get more with automated referral programs.

We invest heavily in systems and processes to ensure we have effective workflows and playbooks in place. We care deeply about metrics, product event data, and automation to give our team superpowers.

Are you a fit?

You are that technical person in your family/friend group that people go to for "tech support". You think in systems and workflows. Everyone says you should have been a developer or an engineer (maybe you already were).

You thrive on solving technical and operational challenges by working directly with customers.

At the same time, you are driven to solve problems at scale. You want to fix things upstream vs coming back to fix the same issue day after day. You love leaning into scalable assets like diagrams, videos, and documentation to have people help themselves.

What you'll do here

Our customers are businesses that are tech-enabled but not necessarily tech-savvy individuals.

Technical Advising & Assistance

  • Work closely with technical contacts to learn their systems and then recommend workflows and solutions to solve their specific use case
  • Interact with customers live on Zoom (pre-scheduled calls) who are setting up our software
  • Help customers more directly by suggesting specific API calls, advising on integration software like Zapier, or troubleshooting Salesforce or HubSpot direct integrations
  • Assist customers across multiple communication channels including chat, email, and live screen shares

Contributing to Integration Content

  • Develop videos, guides, and integration playbooks that explain workflows to customers
  • Work with the product team to advise on improving the product's technical capabilities and building common workflows directly into the software
  • Work with our product manager regarding integration vendor relationships (*Lots of room to grow here to help us expand with integration partners)

Is this job for you?

  • 3+ years of technical support or SaaS operations experience
  • Comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and middleware software such as Zapier
  • Experience integrating common sales and marketing software like Salesforce, HubSpot, Active Campaign, Intercom, and MailChimp
  • Experience creating workflow diagrams and figuring out how different sales and marketing systems should work together
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Technical writing for integration documentation and updating support docs
  • Strong ability to self-manage priorities for the reactive needs of clients and project-based work
  • Prior experience in SaaS
