ProducePay is an Agriculture Fin-tech start-up with a focus on farmers who want to grow their business by offering tools that make their business more predictable, transparent and fair. Our technology gives farmers access to a trading marketplace, while our financing platform gives them access to capital. ProducePay has raised over $300MM+ in funding to help the multi-billion dollar Agriculture Industry. We work with fresh produce growers, distributors, and receivers across the globe.
You'll be tasked with analytical projects that help improve our risk management processes. You will be an integral part of our Risk Team, working alongside the Chief Risk Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join an analytical, data-centric team at a fast-growing FinTech company. You will partner with colleagues from Capital Markets, Finance, Product, and Data Services to help drive insight and develop an analysis that benefits ProducePay and its investor base. Most importantly, your insights will have an immediate, tangible impact every day in a well-funded and rapidly growing company.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate and improve our existing risk modeling techniques and scoring systems: data preparation, variable selection, modeling process, backtesting, recommendations
- Risk metrics and reports such as Economic Capital and Expected Loss computations
- Track credit limit recommendations, exposures, and payment history for existing clients
- Update systems and processes for gathering and storing data for future analytic projects
- Maintain internal and external risk databases updated with accurate and reliable information
- Proactively examine and review transaction documentation for suspicious activity, possible fraud, or credit risk
Requirements
This role is ideal for someone who is data-oriented, hardworking, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to roll up their sleeves and dig into the details.
We also need you to have the following experience:
- 2 years of experience in Credit Risk or Risk Management developing methodologies
- Experience working in statistical software (R, Stata, SPSS, or Matlab) and databases
- Working towards (or completing) a degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar quantitative degrees
- Understanding of business, financial, and accounting concepts, ideally in financial services or risk management context
- Experience with Credit Risk methodologies
- Detailed oriented
