Alation is looking for a Partner Manager to cover parts of the EMEA region: DACH, UK, Benelux and Nordics. Alation is an exciting phase of growth with an SVP of partnerships appointed 2021 and Head of Partnerships for EMEA joining in 2022 to whom this role reports. Series E funding of $123m announced in November 2022.
The EMEA Sales team is budgeted to double in size during the next financial year and has achieved multiple consecutive quarter on quarter sales targets. This role can span a combination of partners including technology and cloud (i.e. Snowflake, Databricks, AWS), and also reseller and referral partners including Global System Integrators. This role supports the revenue generating EMEA sales team (The Field) by executing the Alation Partnership Programme.
Due to this role covering the EMEA region, language skills would be beneficial, but not essential.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, qualify and develop partners with whom we can build joint mutual revenues for our respective businesses
- Understand, execute, continually recommend refinement and improvements to our partner programme and sales operations
- Build pipeline with partners to achieve your individual and team targets
- Proactively drive Alation sales people to fruitful account mapping operations with partners
- Drive joint demand generation activities working with Partner Marketing
- Engage the Alation Enablement team for sales & tech enablement of partners
- Develop local relationships that activate worldwide partners with both local and and global partnership team colleagues.
Key Attributes:
- 3+ years’ Partner management (PM) experience in enterprise software organizations
- 8+ years working in field based positions: Partner Management, Customer Success, Sales, marketing, Solution Engineer or Business Development
- Express an understanding of the data management and analytics market and ecosystem.
- Familiarity with (or rapid learning of) data catalog, governance, master data management, data lineage and data quality markets.
- An experience or understanding of quota carrying roles like Partnership Manager and experience working with quota carrying sales executives
- Experience developing and nurturing partnership relationships and business development
- Good communication and presentation skills and a strong sales acumen, experience and understanding.
