Staff Software Engineer

Our Staff Software Engineers identify key strategic technical initiatives, deliver significant value to our customers and our business, and set the tone for engineering excellence and culture. As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for identifying key strategic technical initiatives that impact our entire engineering team and deliver significant value to our business. You will set a high bar for engineering culture and excellence, and your past experience will be leveraged to enable and accelerate Vanta’s growth. Our business has found incredible product-market fit and has monetized effectively since the day we signed our first customer. What you’ll do as a Staff Software Engineer at Vanta:

• Identify and solve complex, high-impact problems, leading projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to deliver significant impact to our business
• Set technical direction impacting our entire engineering team, from critical systems and core product abstractions to developer productivity
• Act as a cultural beacon, setting an example for effective, collaborative engineering How to be successful in this role:
• Have played significant technical leadership roles for teams or complex projects
• Have upleveled teams of engineers, mentoring and leading by example
• Have previous startup experience, or worked in an environment that prioritizes a bias for action
• Have an interest in learning about security or prior experience in the space Pay Range: $213,900 - $270,000; If you are offered the position, your offer amount will be based on your experience. What you can expect as a Vantan:
