Automation & Robotics Engineering Project Manager

Location of work: Remote/Flexible working available

The Role: Intretech UK is a growing company within the automation and robotics sector and are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join their design and development team.

We are looking at expanding our engineering team with remote/flexible working options available. The ideal Engineering Project Manager will come from a technical background (software, mechanical or electronics) and have proven experience in a similar role, where you have led and delivered engineering projects in a timely fashion meeting or exceeding the original brief. Ideally control system engineering with specialisation in Industrial Automation and programming different controllers such as:

-AB ControlLogix, Siemens S7, AutomationDirect Directlogic series, Delta, or Horner XL7 series.
-Design HMI and SCADA

In this role you will be expected to lead a variety of projects at one time so strong organisational and time management skills are key. You will oversee projects involving mechanical, electronics and software design/integration requirements and will be supported by an experienced design and management team in the UK and China. You can expect the role to be varied and you will ideally enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced design environment where no 2 days are the same.

This is a technical hands-on role, so an engineering background would be advantageous and any experience within the automation and robotics sector is highly desirable. There are exciting projects ready for you to get involved in with some seriously exciting customers and you can expect the role to involve: leading the planning and implementation of projects, coordinating project staff, project scheduling, resource allocation and continuous improvements and qaulity controlls of processes.

Skills And Experience Required

· Project Management experience in an engineering environment
· Automation experience, e.g., PLC, Drives, Robotics
· Project management tools and software packages - MS projects or similar
· A robust understanding and experience of leading projects, using various project leadership methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc).
· Experience in a fast-paced environment
· Degree qualification within an engineering or business management field
· Experience of automation and control systems within a process manufacturing environment e.g., PLC, SCADA, Vision Systems, Drives, Robotics, Data Historian, Industrial Networks - especially Siemens technology
· Problem solving and trouble-shooting the resolution of automation and control system issues
· Experience of PLC programming or high-level coding, along with the ability to create and understand various software design methodologies
· Automation/Computerised systems lifecycle management in line with current GAMP5 standards
· Automation document lifecycle including URS, DQ, IQ, OQ documents

Desirable Skills and Experience

· Team leadership or management experience
· Experience working with and delivery in China
· Experience of LabView
