Job Description

At Finarb, Software Development Engineer 1 - AI (SDE 1 – AI) will work with teammates to solve problems and build innovative AI solutions predominantly in Python. Finarb provides end-to-end solutions using AI/ML across industries and geographies. We are a group of young and enthusiastic individuals aiming to achieve high levels of proficiency and expertise in the solutions we deliver to our clients.
You will also be expected to demonstrate an ability to learn and adopt relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes to leverage in your solutions

Roles and responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems through sound and creative engineering
• Quickly learn new engineering methods and incorporate them into his or her work processes.
• Seek feedback and apply internal or industry best practices to improve his or her technical solutions
• Demonstrate skill in time management and completing software projects in a cooperative team environment
• Write concise, robust, and clean code

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher in engineering, computer science or related field), or 1+ years equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong analytical skills
• Understanding of operating system fundamentals
• Understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• Knowledge of network, distributed, asynchronous, and concurrent programming
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Programming experience with Python including object-oriented design
• Experience with Database systems (Relational or NoSQL), Linux and Git.
• Provide estimates; author validation tests; provide timely issue resolutions
• Communicate effectively to surface progress, risks and help needed within the project team
