Toby SavillThe Role
This is a Regional Manager role for an intelligent, motivated, self-starter who is looking for a job that has ample career advancement opportunities. This is an opportunity to become a founding and critical member of a rapidly growing startup.
Full time, 40 hours per week: £25k
Remote role but must be able to work in Manchester/Edinburgh regularly
We're looking for two City/Region Managers to own our new North of England and Scotland Foodstuff regions.
*What will I be doing? *
- Cultivate relationships with the best independent food brands in your cities
- Own the sales operations, marketing, delivery and customer support for your market
- Opportunity to build your own team
- Launch in new locations and ultimately own the North of England / Scotland as the Regional Manager (Leeds, Glasgow, Sheffield, York and Liverpool are massive potential markets that we hope to launch soon with you as the lead.)
This is a true account management role where you’ll be accountable for a business within a business, with its own budget and resources. As such you’ll communicate constantly and effectively with HQ team and other regional managers to share learnings and inform decisions about strategy, product and the customer experience. You’ll also be the face of Foodstuff and potentially across the surrounding region, which means representing our brand in the best possible light to business leaders, regulatory bodies, local government, delivery riders, our customers and the general public – the whole community.
Everyone chips in providing support one evening shift/week (5pm-10:00pm), with either Monday morning or Friday afternoon off.
Experience
- You’ve succeeded in hands-on sales or operations roles, or both, preferably in a startup environment. Whatever you haven’t done you’re willing and able to learn fast.
- You have experience in a relevant customer-facing industry like last mile delivery, F&B or hospitality.
- You’ve led people, or you strongly aspire to and think you have what it takes.
- You’ve had exposure to other business functions like marketing and product, and you liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- You’ve worked in an organisation where you delivered against ambitious targets in a fast-paced culture, with limited resources.
- You have a strong understanding of the value of social media
Soft skills
- Problem solving – where others see problems you see solutions, and you never blame others or a lack of resources for failing to find one.
- Communication – you’re a good listener, a confident but straight talker, and you express yourself clearly and succinctly in any medium.
- Leadership – you can unite a team around shared goals, get the best performance out of each individual, and take accountability for good and bad results.
- Integrity – you always do the right thing, even when nobody's watching.
- Hard skills
- Sales – you can confidently engage busy restaurant owners and managers, understanding their needs, explaining our service and gaining their trust so they’re excited to work with us.
- Management – you’re able to organise numerous projects and people punctually and with meticulous attention to detail.
- Technical proficiency – you’re very comfortable with technology and quickly learn to use unfamiliar software and devices.
- Social and Marketing - you can organise and execute a social calendar and run your own marketing tasks
Benefits
- Significant share options
- Real opportunity to promote and become a senior leader in the business.
- Generous expenses policy.
- Macbook or equivalent laptop
- Monthly training and development budget
- Annual budget for challenges/fulfilling acheivements
