The Development Team:

On SimplePart’s Platform Development Team you have the chance to brainstorm, collaborate and grow alongside some of the best and brightest engineers in the world. As a group, we rally together to create responsive and elegant web applications that scale to millions of users in dozens of countries and languages.

We are looking for active engagement, and an iterative mindset from everyone on the team. We’ll hit “perfect” not all at once, but by steadily iterating and learning over time. As a mature, stable platform, our primary focus is new development. In this, each member of the team has the ability to impact all aspects of the development process.

The Job:

As a Database Developer you will be responsible for Schema, Stored Procedures and Functions which deliver key platform functionality. This is an application development role working in Microsoft SQL Server, with light DBA duties as relates to MSSQL instances supporting the development environment.

Qualifications:

Computer Science or CIS degree or equivalent professional experience

Every role on the team is a hands-on position, working in a hybrid agile (two week sprint) model building big, meaningful new technology at the cutting edge of digital commerce for some of the world’s biggest and most recognizable brands. Our stack is SQL (stored procedures), C# and Vue.js running a Component model on top of Webforms. We host on owned equipment (not cloud) and we do no outsourcing or offshore work of any kind. This is a fun, flexible, iterative team focused exclusively on our eCommerce and EPC platform. You will help us build crisp, clean, interactive experiences to make complex catalogs of millions of products accessible and easy to understand for most people.
