About the Engineers of MoneyLion
We are a globally distributed team of software engineers, product owners, visual designers, and many other roles, with offices in Kuala Lumpur and New York City and team members hailing from California to Texas to Illinois...just to name a few. We take the Google approach to SRE, viewing it as software engineering with a mandate for observability and reliability. We treat our infrastructure as code, ship all code via managed deployments, and don’t consider an application prod-ready until it’s been properly instrumented.
Our Tech Stack:
- AWS
- Java as the backend application language
- Terraform for infrastructure-as-code
- Kubernetes
- Codefresh and ArgoCD for CI/CD
- New Relic as the single pane of glass for observability: APM, logs, infrastructure monitoring, alerting
- PagerDuty
- Cloudflare for DNS management
- Bash/Golang for internal tooling
About the Role
We’re looking for a software engineer who will contribute to our continuous automation of toil; write and evangelize rails for smoother observability and CI/CD flows to be used by the application teams; strengthen our DR and BCP processes; help drive the 4 key DORA metrics across the organization; embed with application teams to spread the skills and knowledge on the subjects of instrumentation, monitoring, alerting, and auto-healing.
About You
You’re a software engineer with a passion for the -ilities: observability, reliability, scalability. You automate toil when you find it. You identify and resolve bottlenecks. You approach existing processes with a critical eye and suggest improvements. You have managed production incidents. You know the difference between mitigation and resolution. You follow up on band-aid solutions. In your work, you instrument everything and frequently reassess the quality of your data.
MoneyLion is committed to equal employment opportunities for all employees. Inside our company, every decision we make regarding our employees is based on merit, competence, and performance, completely free of discrimination. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. Within that team, no one will feel more “other” than anyone else. We realize the full promise of diversity and want you to bring your whole self to work every single day.
