Position Overview

As a Lead iOS Software Engineer in Mobile AI at MoodMe, you will be the technical expert and key contributor to our mobile AI product development. This role is all about harnessing the potential of AI and AR technologies to create engaging, emotion-rich mobile experiences. You will work closely with our CTO to ensure the technical excellence of our products and make our vision a reality. Our unique compensation package includes Founder's shares (equity), offering you a stake in our vision. None of the leadership is taking a salary until the company lifts off. We expect the same from you, and we offer a % of equity between 2% and 3.5% depending on experience and performance.
We ask for a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week. Furthermore, upon the anticipated closing of our fundraising round or when our sales generate sufficient cash flow, you can expect not only revenue share but also a competitive salary. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive technical excellence in the design, development, and optimization of mobile AI and AR applications and features.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of MoodMe's mobile AI and AR products, taking hands-on charge of the full software development life cycle.
  • Stay on the cutting edge of AI and AR technologies and find innovative ways to implement them in our products.
  • Ensure high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code is delivered, upholding best practices in software engineering.
  • Provide guidance to the software engineering team, mentor junior engineers, and share your expertise in mobile AI and AR.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to bring new features from concept to launch.
  • Solve complex technical challenges related to mobile AI and AR to provide the best user experience.
  • Continuously enhance and optimize existing mobile AI and AR features based on user feedback and data.
  • Stay updated on technology trends and best practices, taking the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience, minimum of 6 years, in software development with a focus on mobile AI and AR technologies in a fast-growing company.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile application development for iOS and frameworks, including ARKit, ARCore, and CoreML.
  • Expertise in computer vision, machine learning, and AI algorithms with practical application in mobile environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Swift, Java, or Kotlin, and proficiency with relevant development tools and IDEs.
  • A strong portfolio of mobile AI and AR projects and applications showcasing your technical skills and innovative solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to analyze and optimize performance.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work within cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for delivering AI products that exceed customer expectations, focusing on quality and speed.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, efficiently prioritizing and managing tasks and projects.
  • An empathetic, collaborative, and adaptable leader fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
