Responsibilities
- Continuously monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide quick responses to front-end users.
- Establishing back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility.
- Troubleshooting issues as they arise and continuously refining the database.
- Maintaining data standards and ensuring adherence with company and regulatory policies.
- Establishing needs of users and monitoring user access and security measures.
- Controlling and monitoring access permissions and privileges.
- Strong database experience including stored procedure development, index strategies, performance tuning and optimization
- Strong experience in data modeling, database design, data warehouse implementation and support
- Developing, managing, and testing back-up and recovery plans.
- Knowledge of scripting language like Perl, Python, Ruby or bash.
- GitHub experience.
- Ensuring data is stored and archived in the database appropriately.
- Managing security and disaster recovery measures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of all data.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience administering MySQL and Unix (Either Solaris/SmartOS or Linux).
- Experience setting up and maintaining MySQL Database replication.
- Familiarity with Security/PCI Compliance.
- Dynamic individual seeking a challenge.

- Strong work ethic.
