🧶 About the role

We are looking for a rockstar Front End Developer at Chronicle to join the founding team of Chronicle. We are changing the way people craft and tell compelling stories every day at work. User experience and front-end is one of the most crucial parts of delivering a game changing experience. We are looking for a talented, motivated front end engineer who has passion for building delightful UI and wants to change the status quo of work.

As a Front End Engineer design you will join the founding team and will get complete autonomy to shape a product that will impact millions of users.

✏️ What you will do

• You will lead the development of a world class web based experience that will impact millions of presentation makers and viewers across the globe
• You will collaborate with and empower the Design and Product teams, to co-build the design vision and translate it into robust, delightful and functional front end interfaces
• Build on existing open source frameworks and build high-quality customer maintainable UI components
• Explore, prototype and evolve interaction patterns with Design team
• Participate in a mutual, fast feedback loop of code reviews
• Effectively communicate your technical solutions and product ideas with the team
• You will get complete autonomy and freedom to contribute cross-functionally in the product process: thinking through UX, brainstorming features, connecting with customers to solve their problems and guiding decisions based on your knowledge of the codebase

💪 You will be a good fit if you

• 3+ years of experience as a front end engineer having built customer facing products
• We're looking for people who are excited about what we're doing — if you believe that presentations are up for a radical disruption are motivated to build a meaningful, delightful solution - this is the role for you
• Well versed with building scalable, understandable and testable code with an eye towards maintainability
• Experience in using latest front end technologies including but not limited to React, Nodejs, Electron and others
• Strong understanding of web and mobile UI patterns with an eye for pixel perfect designs, strong design skills are a huge plus!
• Have strong opinions but are not ideologically tied to specific technologies; naturally curious and willing to take a step to learn something you don’t have experience in; comfortable picking up new stacks and choosing the right tool to get the job done
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Empathy and strong verbal and written communication skills
