About the job
Who we are
Makelane is building the MasterClass for ambitious women starting businesses by democratizing access to women's dream business mentors. We create courses & memberships designed to accelerate women-owned businesses and we're looking for a Community Manager to help us get there.
Our instructors are experts who have helped launch & scale world-class brands like Allbirds, Casper, Stitch Fix, Lululemon, Sephora, Hint Water, Mented, BirchBox, and more. Our mission is to democratize access to the knowledge & support women need to start thriving businesses—because we believe that when women thrive, we all do.
Our approach
- World-class instructors. Our instructors are real experts who have helped scale brands like Allbirds, Casper, BirchBox, Lululemon, Sephora, Stitch Fix and more. We're here to democratize access to some of today's best founders & specialists.
- In-depth actionable curriculum in each vertical. We develop world-class curriculum that dives deep in each vertical (starting with ecommerce) so we can go beyond the aspirational and get into the actionable step-by-step info women really need to succeed.
- Community first. We focus on community so we can understand our members, connect them to other like-minded women, and accelerate a movement of women lifting each other as they rise. We believe that community & knowledge together catalyze meaningful success.

- Ensure community success. You will gather feedback, inquiries, and complaints to ensure the success of free and paid members of our communities.
